Patricia Saxton has taken an icon of our culture and subjected it to Mozartian variations that are surprising and delightful. – Milton Glaser
“52 Weeks of Peace” is a visual exploration of a familiar symbol, imagined, designed and illustrated with an intention to inspire hope, joy and the practice of mindful peace in our daily lives.
Just a handful of the 52 designs are shown here. Every week for a year, I posted a newly designed (and/or illustrated) peace sign, each with accompanying text that can be seen in a special section on my blog.
The year-long project turned into a high quality postcard book, available on Amazon. 52 Weeks of Peace products are also available, at my CafePress shop. And a well-visited 52 Weeks of Peace Facebook page is in place serving as inspiration for like-minded souls interested in the power of inner peace as a means to outer peace, who recognize that “peace starts here” and can be discovered and nurtured in a myriad of ways, right here, right now.
